Supervising Engineer for Design & Works for construction of Waste Water Treatment Plant in the TPP Nikola Tesla A in the Republic of Serbia

The overall objective of this project is to support Serbia in reforming the energy policy by meeting EU Acquis through enhanced strategic planning, increase use of renewable energy and infrastructure support for establishing a regional energy market, and improvement of water quality in Sava river by decreasing the concentration of relevant parameters at the WWTP outlet (mineral oils, suspended solids, heavy metals, BOD) leading to an improvement in water quality around the TPP, thus enabling the health of overall population to improve. The specific objective of this framework contract is to provide EPS/TPP Nikola Tesla with the necessary assistance in the coordination, supervision, and project and site management of Design- Build contract for construction under FIDIC rules: Design, construction, trial operation and commissioning of Waste Water Treatment Plant at TPP Nikola Tesla A (Plant and Design-Build - Yellow Book). The project provides a Supervising Engineer to be a part of the Project Management Unit (PMU). Activities: Assisting EPS/TPP Nikola Tesla in the preparation of implementation plans and schedules. Reviewing the contractor's drawings and documents. Supervising the works contract with all the responsibilities as in the accepted standard industry practice. Assisting supervision and monitoring site activities, e.g. construction, commissioning and testing of plant performance. Assisting in the review of time scheduling. Reviewing of contractor's quality assurance plans for design and/or procurement. Advising the Contracting Authority and EPS/TPP Nikola Tesla on project and site management issues. Advising the Contracting Authority and EPS/TTP Nikola Tesla in progress assessment and verification issues. Following and assisting in the established QA/QC procedures through witnessing and certification of acceptance testing at site and in workshops. Issuing Taking-Over Certificates and Performance Certificates The outputs: Completion of the works contract on time. Completion of the works contract within the budget cost. Completion and implementation of the works contract in accordance with its contractual provisions. Achievement of the technical standard specified in the technical requirements for the works contract.
