Multilateralism and Digitalisation
Objectives The overall objective of the assignment is to support DG INTPA in its strategic approach to "multilateralism and digitalisation". This assignment contributes to the achievement of the EU's overall ambition to promote a fair, inclusive, green and human-centric digital transformation worldwide, inspired by the EU's human-centric approach, particularly in the ACP region. Activities The activities are organised in three components: Objective 1 - Support DG INTPA in the design and strengthening of its strategy on "multilateralism and digitalisation" within the framework of global challenges and the know-how on how to achieve its ambition. Strengthen the EU's capacity to project its digital objectives in its international cooperation, in the ACP region and globally. This requires the development of partnerships and alliances that can support European investments in infrastructure and capacity building, as well as the promotion of regulatory cooperation, particularly with like-minded partners. Objective 2 - Strengthen DG INTPA's strategic know-how on how to monitor and evaluate DG INTPA's influence at global level Through the development of a monitoring and evaluation methodology, help INTPA maintain its position as a strong voice in the global digital landscape. Through monitoring and evaluation, enable INTPA to adapt its strategy for strengthening partnerships and alliances, including strengthening EU influence in relevant forums that discuss and govern the digital domain. Objective 3 - Support DG INTPA in the definition of the short-term action document(s) for 2022 to implement INTPA's strategy on "multilateralism and digitalisation" Provide substantial input to the draft 2022 Action Document (AD) on "multilateralism and digitalisation" within the global challenges framework of the NDICI, in accordance with the Commission's requirements for these programming documents, including summaries and other documents. Support the effective and efficient operationalisation of the 2022 AD.
