Technical Assistance for Bhutan's Economic Recovery post COVID19

The Specific objectives of the project will be: 1. To provide technical assistance to the Royal Government of Bhutan to mitigate the COVID19 impact by supporting the implementation of government's flagship initiatives under the country's 12th FYP and shaping future country plans , with the aim of assisting Bhutan in building back better a climate-resilient economy ensuring promotion of cross-cutting sectors such as environment, climate changes, rights-based approach and gender equality; 2. To promote better understanding of the requirements preceding the country's graduation from its Least Development Country (LDC) status and assist in designing new policies and/or adapting existing policies for promoting equitable and resilient economy ; 3. To contribute to the on-going works under the country's 21st century Economic Roadmap which aims to boost income and employment in Bhutan by unleashing the potential of private sector development;
