Technical assistance for the formulation of the EU-Wallis & Futuna territorial program 2021-2027

Context: Under the 9th and 10th territorial EDF, cooperation between the Territory and the European Union focused on improving accessibility to the islands of Wallis and Futuna through the strengthening of maritime services and port infrastructure. This cooperation continued under the 11th territorial EDF with support for improving accessibility and developing the digital sector through the budget support modality with co-financing of the digital development sectoral strategy for the islands of Wallis and Futuna. Perfectly aligned with the Convergence Strategy for the islands of Wallis and Futuna 2019-2030, the local authorities wish for the next focal sector to support the sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development of the Territory by notably supporting sustainable and responsible tourism. Objectives: The main objective of the mission is to contribute to the design and formulation of the new EU-Wallis and Futuna cooperation programme for the period 2021-2027 (territorial envelope). Two specific objectives are attached to this: Specific Objective 1: assessment of the sectoral policy relevant to the priority area of the MIP and of the public financial management situation for the Territory. Specific Objective 2: formulation/design of the territorial programme for Wallis & Futuna based on the 2021-2027 multiannual indicative programme (MIP) for Wallis and Futuna.
