Development of Local Action Plans on Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience for 3 Local-Self Governments in Serbia
Objectives:
To enhance the ability of Serbia and its competent institutions to participate actively in addressing the global environmental threat of climate change.
The objective of this assignment is development of at least three Local Action Plans on Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience for local self-governments in Serbia, based on already developed methodology.
Climate change affects natural and managed systems and has impact on social and economic sectors as well as on human health and welfare. Since the adaptation measures have huge benefits on everyday lives of people in vulnerable areas and can immediately save lives in events like floods, landslide, drought, forest fires etc. preparation and implementation of Local Action Plans on Climate Change Adaptation will support local self-governments to be more resilient to climate change impacts.
Outputs:
Report on most appropriate model of collaboration between municipalities related to climate change adaptation and DRR including conclusions upon discussions with relevant stakeholders prepared and accepted
Three draft Local Action Plans on Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience for selected local self-governments submitted for comments
Final Local Action Plans on Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience for three selected local self-governments prepared and accepted
