Formulation of a Green and Blue Deal in the Comoros

The general objective of this contract is to contribute to the implementation of the 2021-2027 programming of cooperation between the Union of the Comoros and the European Union in terms of improving food security and sustainable management of natural resources. The specific objective of this contract is to formulate a MEUR 20 "Green & Blue Deal" programme integrated into the territorial specificities of the Comoros" funded under the EU Delegation's 2022 Action Programme (AAP 2022). This MEUR 20 programme aims to: Promote community-based integrated conservation and sustainable management of natural resources, biodiversity and terrestrial-coastal and marine ecosystems; Formulation of a pipeline of environmental investment projects in the field of waste management, eco-tourism sector, fisheries (MRV system), watershed management & irrigation systems closed to protected areas Improving the sustainability of food systems with an impact on food security and nutrition of the population; Formulation of a pipeline of green agriculture investment projects with focus on agriculture irrigation systems (drainage and drip systems) Strengthen the dynamics of institutional and local governance through planning and monitoring and evaluation tools, adapted to territorial challenges and specificities.
